Why try it?

Seattle Sushi reflects the Pacific Northwest's rich seafood culture and its Japanese influences. It's a must-try for understanding how Seattle incorporates local ingredients into global cuisines.

How it tastes

This dish offers a blend of the fresh, rich flavor of smoked salmon paired with subtly seasoned sushi rice. It's typically served cool, with a hint of vinegary tang and umami richness.

Origin & History — first documented: 1980

In the late 20th century, Seattle embraced the sushi craze by incorporating its abundant local salmon. The creative mix of traditional sushi techniques and local fish made it popular throughout the region.
