From the waterfront, taxis are easy to find on the access roads, while the beach promenade gives walkers a clear route to the main seafront hotels and cafés. Accommodation ranges from modern serviced apartments to upscale hotels, so rooms with balconies can overlook the boats or the Atlantic. Choose this area if you value a compact layout, evening dining and quick access to both the beach and the cable car rather than a traditional market atmosphere.

Along Avenue des Dunes and the hotel-lined side of Boulevard du 20 Août, Quartier des Dunes is built around the beach holiday rather than everyday city errands. Large hotels and resort complexes occupy spacious plots behind the seafront, with swimming pools, landscaped grounds, children’s facilities and terraces designed for long stays on site. The Agadir seafront promenade is the key address: it runs beside the wide sandy beach and gives an uncomplicated route for morning walks, sunset strolls and access to beachfront cafés. Many properties have direct or near-direct paths to the sand, which is useful when carrying towels, travelling with children or planning most days around the Atlantic.

This area is straightforward for newcomers who prefer hotel reception desks, organised transfers and facilities in one place. Resort restaurants generally serve breakfast and dinner, while Boulevard du 20 Août adds more independent cafés and casual dining within walking distance. Petit taxis wait on the main roads, and larger hotels can arrange airport transfers, surf transport or excursions. Check the exact position of a room before booking: buildings closer to Avenue des Dunes offer quicker beach access, while those farther inland may have quieter pools but require a longer walk to the promenade. The trade-off is fewer local shops and less urban variety than the central streets.
